Carraro-CNH: contract worth 360 million Euros in four years signed

Renewed until 2016 the agreement in place for the supply of axles and transmissions, with the addition of new application areas

Campodarsego (Padua), 20 December 2012 – Important step forward for Carraro Drive Tech, the Carraro Group company leader in transmission systems. Today, in fact, the renewal of the global supply contract with Case New Holland, Fiat Industrial Group company specialised in the production of agricultural and earthmoving machinery, worth a total of 90 million Euros, was signed.

This agreement validates contracts already in place between the two groups (axles and transmissions for backhoe loaders) until December 2016, adding new applications, with particular reference to transmission systems for telehandlers, wheel loaders, agricultural tractors, cotton pickers and bulldozers. As a result, Carraro Drive Tech remains the main supplier of transmission systems to CNH worldwide.

“The excellent and consolidated relationships with CNH have allowed us to achieve this further global confirmation, extending the relationship to new application areas. Our industry platform is today strategic and enables us to provide transmission systems to CNH from every continent, depending on the type of product and application. – commented Enrico Carraro, Group Chairman – This means for us to be really close to customers and ensure “local for local” technological solutions, that are targeted to the specific needs of each market”.

“It is a process, which continues and we hope it can lead to further developments. In fact we are consolidating a relationship, which is already strong in certain countries such as Europe, USA, India and Brazil, but in the near future we see interesting opportunities also in South America, especially in relation to local incentive policies, which are stimulating investments in many industrial companies in this geographic area, including us and CNH” concluded Enrico Carraro.

With this new agreement Carraro Drive Tech products cover almost the full range of Case and New Holland brands (both for agricultural and earth moving machinery), taking advantage of the solid Carraro global industrial platform: from India to China, from Italy to Germany, from North and South America.

Finally, consolidation of the relationship with CNH will bring further benefits, also for the future supply of gears and assemblies made by the Components BU (Gear World).
