CEVA to partner Carraro Drive Tech for spare parts logistics
The Monselice site (Padua), which manages more than 37,000 codes in an area covering 6,600 square metres, has been chosen as the main service centre for Carraro customers and for spare parts warehouses already situated in the main geographic areas
The new central Spare Parts site of Carraro Drive Tech, the Business Unit representing the core business of the Carraro Group, was inaugurated today. The site, located in Monselice (Padua) at one of the most important CEVA Logistics warehouses in Northern Italy, is the result of a partnership agreement recently signed by Carraro and CEVA - a worldwide leading logistics operator.
At the site, which also houses the general offices of Carraro Drive Tech – After Sales & Spare Parts, Carraro will be able to rely on the most innovative logistics solutions made available by CEVA, to improve the management and delivery of a wide range of spare parts for different kinds of driveline systems for agricultural equipment, earthmoving machinery, fork-lift trucks and for components for tractors manufactured by Carraro Agritalia (Rovigo).
In particular, and based on the terms of the agreement, CEVA will oversee unloading, storage, picking, packaging and the preparation of dispatches for Carraro customers (more than 200 globally, considering that 90% of materials are dispatched abroad) and for Carraro spare parts warehouses already located around the world, in a warehouse area covering more than 6,600 square meters where a stock of 37,000 codes is currently managed (for an estimated annual volume exceeding 200,000 order rows).
In addition, activities with a high added value will be further implemented in Monselice, including the preparation of the new “spare parts” kits marketed by Carraro Drive Tech for easier component assembly and disassembly.
An optimal partnership and customer service quality will be guaranteed by a sophisticated and efficient CEVA Warehouse Management System, that can fully integrate with and interface Carraro's information systems.
