Open Factory 2025: over 1,300 visitors discovering the SIAP plants in Maniago and Montereale Valcellina

The enthusiasm of past editions was confirmed. A special weekend, with hundreds of company employees, accompanied by families and friends to discover processes and technologies.

Maniago (PN), December 1, 2025 – Again a great participation for the Carraro Open Factory, organized this year at the Friulian plants of SIAP, Carraro Group's center of excellence for quality components and highly complex gears.

During last weekend the three SIAP plants welcomed over 1,300 visitors, including students, collaborators and families, confirming the growing interest in the world of industry and in particular in the Carraro presence, rooted in the territory for almost 40 years.

The morning of Saturday 29 was dedicated to the students of some schools in the area (IIS Il Tagliamento, Fondazione O.S.F., I.S.I.S. “A. Malignani”, I.S.I.S. “P. Sarpi”) who discovered the company's activities and the professional prospects offered by the Group. After a brief presentation, the students had the opportunity to take a guided tour of the production plant.

In the afternoon of Sunday 30, SIAP opened its doors to the public, welcoming hundreds of collaborators with family and friends as well as numerous local visitors. Participants had the chance to walk through the production spaces, learn about the functioning of the different processes and understand the strategic role of SIAP within the Carraro Group.

More specifically, guests had the opportunity to visit the three plants:

  • the first, dedicated to the production of gears for agricultural and earthmoving machinery
  • the second, focused on the production of axles for off-road vehicles (such as the INEOS Grenadier)
  • the third, in Montereale Valcellina, focused on the "high volume" production of gears for trucks.

In each stage of the visit particular emphasis was placed on sustainability, which is an integral part of both the processes and the setting up of SIAP's plants, designed to be truly on a human scale.

Precisely in line with this approach, the NGO Care To Action, which operates in India in support of vulnerable communities and which has been sponsored by the Carraro Group for years, also found space in the event, alongside the local San Mauro Cooperative, committed to the employment of people in fragile situations, which actively collaborated in the initiative by contributing to the packaging of gifts for guests.
